I have a 1975 Starcraft 15.5 closed bow boat. It has leaks in it that will require some sort of fix. Is it possible to have these welded? How much should I pay to have something like this completed?

I live in canada.

Yes...good point.

My boat does not have any rips or punctures in the metal. It does not have any corrosion either. I am guessing that it is the seams or loose rivets that are leaking. I know you can reset the rivets, and how difficult are the seams to weld?

I have heard that there may be some sort of material between the layers of aluminum that may prevent welding. Is this true?

I realize that I am going to have to remove the flooring once the spring comes and also take out all the soaking wet flotation foam, and then seal up the hull, one way or another. I don't have any pics, as the boat is covered under two feet of snow, and I don't want to touch it in case i break something. Winter makes everything so fragile...LOL!

I understand that Gluvit is an amazing product. I am having trouble locating this stuff here in Canada. Does anyone know where in Canada I can find this stuff. I am worrying that it might have trouble being held up at the border. Any ideas?

Sent you a PM Saskatoon2005. Not sure if that guy can help and buying from iboats (very helpful customer service!) may be more beneficial. Doubt my lead for you would order any in special but if he has any extra from previous repairs he should help.
