How much is a 1964 90hp Evinrude worth?

I have either a 1964 or 1965 Evinrude 90 bhp motor that has less than 4-5 hours on it. It sank in it's dock along with my Dad's boat back in '65- he had it 'preserved' by the dealer and it has been in the garage ever since- has literally only seen water once for about 3 days! Does anyone have any idea of what it is worth, or how I can find out ith's worth?

Is it running under load? Is it running at all?

45 Years in "preserved" condition makes it worth what it will bring by the pound at a scrap dealer unless it can be demonstrated to work under load.

"Preserved"?? That's a new one. I wonder just what that means. Does it mean they didn't get the water out and just filled it with a bunch of oil? How about the electrical junction box? They are filled with expensive goodies that totally hate being submerged.

Hmmm - I wonder if that 44 year old jar of "strawberry preserves" that is sitting on my shelf is still edible.
