I am looking to sell my 1971 Fastwin 18 HP. It runs strong but idles poorly. It has a new main shaft in the trans, new water pump, new fuel pump. These were put in about 1 1/2 years ago. It also has a brand new Atwood 6 gallon fuel tank and fuel line with filter and comes with the service manual. How much should I ask? I'm looking to downsize to a Tohatsu 9.8 which I can manual start a little easier. Thanks, Bob

its worth what someone will pay. you may do better selling the service manual and tank as separate items. other than that i would guess $300 for the pkg would be an average asking price in my neck of the woods.

I was thinking asking 375 and getting about 300-325 for the lot

you are definitely in the ball park as prices vary quite a bit by area.

I've bought and sold a few 18's. I usually pick them up for about $75 to 150 depending on the condition (they have to be complete and not frozen). When I have them up and running I usually get about 250 to 300 for them. These for the most part have been early 60's models. Bottom line- what you're asking is ballpark and what I would expect to pay for a good one if I was in the market for one for myself.
