how much plywood should I order?

Hey!

How many sheets of marine ply should I order to replace the floors in my 1975 Islander?

3/4 inch?

The floor is going to be a full sheet every 4 feet,you will have more left over the further towards the bow . The rest you can figure out buy measuring. I used 1/2 on the floor as its held up a lot with thw flotation. I really if I were much younger used 3/4 on everything for durability.

You should stick with the thickness of the wood you took out. If not, you could have issues with fitment of other components.

go with orig thickness, as mention, the fitting issues with the side boards, engine cover, cabin wall..

My advice is to order at least one more sheet than you need based on sq footage...since cutting that bow piece takes two tries for many of us:p

I'm very glad I went with the 3/4" myself for strength.
