How much should I expect to pay to have my hull painted?

15' trihull, assuming I can do 90% of the prep work (remove old paint, repair any dings and scratches).<br /><br />I'm just looking for a ballpark figure? Just wondering if it's closer to $200 or $2000 ;-).<br /><br />I'd love to do it myself, but I have yet to figure out how I'm going to get the boat off the trailer and 'dry docked'.

How do I flip it over though? Seems it'd be a really big hassle trying to paint the bottom without turning it over.. <br /><br />Just invite a bunch of friend over and flip it? I'll have the windshields and all the deck hardware off anyway...

Braindead,<br />You can paint the bottom while it is on the trailer (or blocked up). Do every exposed area. After the paint has cured, move the boat back a foot or so and paint were the rollers were. Let it dry then crank it back up. Just make sure you let the paint cure before moving it. The rollers will mess the paint up if it isnt cured. Then u will have to fix it

Thanks, I was thinking about that.. biggest problem I've got at this point is that the previous owner painted the bottom..with who knows what. The only good news on that front is that the paint is peeling pretty bad on the bottom.. so in theory perhaps I can scrape it off.<br /><br />the fun part will be that it's a tri-hull so I've gotta underneath and paint 'the ceiling'

I painted my boat while it was on 4x4 post in the back yard. When I put it on a trailer I painted the 3 small spots and you can bairly tell... James <br /> .. Look at the fishing works page at the bottom
