Hey there John.<br /><br />Helpful info would be make, model, year, serial number, etc, any info you can provide to help narrow it down.<br /><br />Some motors have a telltell or peehole, that spouts a stream of water. Sometimes this hole will plug up with dirt. <br /><br />Some have only an exhaust relief port, it spatters some water.<br /><br />Does your motor exhaust exit thru the center of the prop?<br /><br />One of the first things to do when you get a motor is to replace the waterpump impeller, then you know it is good.
