How much water from pee hole at full speed/rpm? 9.9

How much water should I be getting from the three pee holes at full speed? I get plenty at idle/off idle but the higher the rpm the less I get. Also, is there a t-stat on this engine?

the only way you can be sure of the characteristics of your engine is to know how the engine pees when you have a new impeller... I think what you are noticing is that less water out your upper holes (there to aid startig) and more out the bottom of the leg where you cannot see it . Reduced flow caused by increasing back pressue....

My Clymer manual shows the impeller?s vanes are bent more at higher RPM (centrifugal vs displacement at low RPM). Would that possibly account for higher output at lower RPM noticed? I feel I notice more of a solid output at higher RPM. Most of all, my Tell Tale output is solid at all RPM, I guess due to no exhaust mixed with the output. jow

The small Chryslers do not have a thermostat.

Only a bad impeller delivers less water at high speed than at idle. Is the engine overheating at high speeds and cooling back down at low speed or idle?

It does'nt seem to be overheating, I put my hand on the the head and it did'nt feel that hot. I just noticed less water at higher rpm. I heard a noise at full speed like a goomp gooomp so I put my hand at the peeholes and I could feel the water cut out like it was losing suction/prime. I pulled the water pump and the impeller looks brand new and the housing has only slight wear. I talked with somone at work who has a Chrysler engine and he said he noticed the same thing( that he gets less water at higher rpm/speed. Also the temparture of the water was hot at idle and cool at higher speed and the side of the housing mid way down was very hot.I'm guessing this is the exhaust chamber.

we must be carefull here because I dont think we are taking about a pee hole .pisser or tell tail but the two exhaust vent holes in the uppper casing ..These reduce pressure in the exhaust when starting as the exhaust is full of water which only gets pushed out when the motor runs. Chrysler choose to vent the cooling water just above these holes to avoid exhaust back pressure ..well its actually one 1/4 hole ( all the cooling water does not actually go into the exhaust ) The water comming out feels hot at idle because its heated by the exhaust and there is less flow ...at higher speeds you should have more flow but it might look deceptive as the majority of the exhaust gas now vents under water ...
