How much water thru a bad shift cable bellows?

New set of problems for me... I've been told that it takes on enough water for the bilge to run every 10 min. or so. 1st thing I've found is a badly damaged shift cable bellows and the exaust bellows is completely disconnected at the outdrive side. Can that much water intrude from the shift cable bellows? Am I correct that the exaust bellows won't allow water in? What else should I be on the look out for while I'm in there?

Thanks

Steven

Why don't you run back to the back of the boat, open the engine compartment and look to see where the water is coming in.
That would do a lot more good than just guessing where the problem is.

yes it can and will I had that problem on a merc before like Don said just look and you will see it running in. If those two are bad change all three and yes they are a pain to change.
