how much will this cost?

I have got an 18 hp evinrude. Been sitting outside for 30 plus years. If the compression is good. How much will it cost me to get is serviced? And when I say serviced. I mean pretty much most all the rubber in it needs to be changed and the whole thing needs to be re lubed.

josh, you've been around long enough to know to post the model number. awakening a sleeping outboard. whats it's condition other than being old.

Josh, my '59 Johnson 18hp set me back $277.65 for the following:<br /><br />Plugs/Points/Coils/Plug wires installed, vaccuum & pressure test lower unit, install seals/bearings, impllar and water pump. Also included was about an two hours of his time, giving advice, know how, how-to, and all that.<br /><br />This included my guy even unloading and loading the motor from my truck!!!<br /><br />Thank God for the local guy who'll do ya right everytime.
