Hey guys,

I recently picked up a new to me boat and I have my '84 Johnson 115 sitting on my stand in my garage from my previous boat. I have been looking to sell it but I have no idea how much I should be asking for it. It ran just fine when I pulled it off, I have the controls and gas tank and the prop is in good shape. I have checked craigslist for something to compare to but, everything on there are smaller older motors. I am fully aware of "its only worth what some one will pay" but I want it gone and I dont want to short change myself at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

I picked up a just rebuilt 85 for $600.00 from a marina that went under, to me that was an extremely low price. Around here that motor would generally sell for 1000 - 2000 depending on how good it looked and how well it preformed 1200 - 1500 is average price.

thank you for the response! I was thinking 1000 1100 myself only because of the other motors on clist. I saw a 9.5 hp, older motor for 600. Once again thanks
