Well, I pulled the head off of my 89 Rude 90hp engine tonight and just as I thought one of the cylinders is shot. It appears that a ring(s) somehow got into the combustion chamber and just beat it all to h--l. I also will need a head. I believe I can do the work myself but was wondering what the parts would cost and what all I would need.Or, would it be better(cheaper) to just find another running engine? The cylinder wall has groves maybe 2-3 thousandths deep.The piston is a mess.Other than that the rest of the engine fine. What would be the best way to go here? Thanks for any help on this matter.
