I find that most of the videos posted on youtube are as bad at mis-information as the seloc manuals

Seloc manuals are better. The info is usually correct if the right section and motor can be found out every one covered for years 1901 to 2017.

Beside that, they make nice knee pads as you seat a gimbal bearing with a slide hammer before switching to the BFD!

Ayuh,.... Is he beatin' the bearin' in, with the slide-hammer shaft,..?? his "Special Tool",..??

Years ago, back when I was a newby here at iboats,....
I was engaged in a spirited discussion 'bout the quality of info available in Boat Repair manuals, of various publishers,...
Of course, I was advocatin' the Factory manuals,... I had paper copies from an ole Mechanic friend, 'n Don S had on-line links,...
Absolutely No reason not to use the factory manuals,... Right,..??

A few pages into this thread, I discovered my opponent was/ is the Publisher of Seloc,...............
I never go to that boatin' forum anymore,... 'course few folks do, threads linger a long, long time, no activity,....
