Whenever the shots are due...... The vet let's us know when...... How old is the pooch? Has it ever been in? If you got Spike from the shelter he should be good to go for now... If not, it probably wouldn't hurt to make him an app't if you don't have any vet records........ They have puppy shots too......

Our pups get a checkup twice a year. That's what both breeders and the vets recommended and we've stuck with it over the years.

Well, ours has been in three times in the last three weeks.
The old girl has diabetes, and is now on insulin.

Ours only ever went in when shots were due, once when she got sick and the last time when we had her put down.

Chance is getting old rob. Thats to bad he has a great personality.

We are not to big on vets becouse they always try to up sell something that your pet does not need and could be deadly to your pet. Now saying that our 10 pounds fluff ball seems to make it there once a year.

When shots are due and when and if necessary due to a health issue. Watch out for the "special of the month" money grab though.

Mobile vet visits the pet shop in town twice a year. Shots and a general exam. I try to do my own maintenance. Clip nails, flea bath, tick removal, ear wash, etc...

thanks guys - thats what I remember too - 1-2 tumes a year for shots etc - Spike has all his so far from ARF, but gonna take him in for routine checkup - finding a new vet closer to new house
