How old is my motor?

I was originally told that the motor on my Ebbtide Dyna-trak is a 1984 Evinrude, VRO, 120, V-4. I've also been told that 120's weren't made in "84.

I checked the engine and the only number I can find is on yje cylinder heads. It's 328624-4. Can anyone help me determine what year the engine is. If this isn't the number I need, where is the number located. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!

There should be a sticker or plate on the port side transom bracket, facing to the rear of the engine.

Failing that, look between the two cylinder banks, near the top, facing the rear of the motor, for a welch plug. It will be round, convex and approximately the size of a quarter.

The number that you have given is a casting number for the cylinder head.

I've checked and found the plate. The model number is C120TLC0. Hopefully this will tell you all something.
