How old is this Honda 7.5

Can anyone give me a estimated year of my Honda 7.5 outboard ?
Its burried behind a bunch of stuff in the garage right now , so I cant get the vin# , but I can tell you that it is burgundy and White (creamy off white) ???
I have never seen another Honda this colour ?? I see alot of the old dark blue and white ones wich I think are early to mid eighties .... so how old is my burgundy ?? late 70's ?
I really dont care what year it is because it starts first pull and runs like a top I am just curious of the age .

Yup , thats the one I didn't think it was that old Mine is just as pristine as that one too , maybe a couple scratches on the outside , but uder the engine cover mmine is just as clean .

Wow , I guess its an antique maybe its worth something I paid $200 for it .

Thanks for the link ,. I have had this motor for 4 or 5 years now and always wondered the age .... I would have guessed late 70's or early 80's .

Yep, no problem. As long is its maintained well and kept in good condition it should be a good motor for you. A lot of people run older motors than yours. p.s. (its a nice color scheme, they should have used it on more Honda's)
