i have an evinrude 2 hp. how can i tell the age? the model number is E2RC1B and the serial number is E0002761

See if it doesn't read E2RCIB.If so it is a 1981 model as denoted by the CI in the model number.

I would guess not.It's my wifes mom and she is pushing 80.I'll ask if she could use it to beat eggs with. She makes a mean breakfast.
