I'm building a stand for a motor I am going to buy. The gentleman is out of town so I can't call for the measurement. Does anyone know the "average height from the mounts down? I'm hoping to build it this afternoon.
My "standard" stand was sized the same as the OEM stand that came with my 1955 Merc 10HP. The top of the stand (the "transom") is 30.5" above the floor.
If yours is a long shaft, better make it 5" taller.
