So, I went to put my recently acquired '72 Larson 186 BR in the water for the first time yesterday. When I had bought it, I obviously checked the hull....guess I didn't check well enough, because not five minutes after she was in the water, so were we, at least at our feet. So, Turns out there was a 2.5 foot long crack in a crappy patch job that we couldnt see because of the trailer. Anyway, I'm now going to reglass on the inside of the hull because it appears to be less that 1/4" thick. What is a proper thickness? At this point I want to make the whole thing like half inch thick to be safe.
