How to Adjust Pole Setting

I have a Faria Tachometer that only reads up to 3100rpm. I read that if you move the pole setting back and forth a few times, that it may fix the problem. Does anyone know how to move the dial? I've tried everything but it won't budge.
Thanks

Just checking again if anyone has any ideas on how to move this dial.

Usually the selection switch has a slot for a screwdriver to to change the setting. Can't see one on your tach. Try contacting Faria if no one can help here.

It looks like just pressing your thumb on the dial and turning it is all that's required. If it doesn't turn it is likely corroded internally. The slot at the bottom I suppose could be used as a fulcrum of sorts for use of a small screwdriver to turn the dial but I find that highly unlikely.

Agree ^^^, pressing down slightly with thumb or finger while rotating the wheel should "click" it into different poles settings..........Looks to me that the plastic on the wheel at 6 o:clock (in front of the "3") is booger'd up and isn't allowing you to "rotate" the wheel to the left or right. It's pinned where she sits!!! Might have to take it apart and sand that bit of plastic down off the wheel.
