How to assemble spark plug wire?

I am planning to assemble spark plug wires from parts purchased from Mercury. What is the best way to assemble the wire, the spark plug metal clip, and the rubber boot for the spark plug? Please advise.

Trim the sparkplug wire to expose 1/8" of wire and fan it out flat against the insulation. Squeeze the clip through the wire inside the insulation with the coil part resting against the exposed wire. Squirt the inside of the boot with starting fluid and slip the wire end of the boot over the clip before the ether evaporates. I usually hang onto the connection with a pliers ustil the coil is in the boot, then push it the rest of the way with my fingers. Check to make sure the coil lines up with the boot and you're done.
