How to care for motor between lake trips?

Hello
I have an 89 force 35 on a 16 spectrum bass boat -
I use it every 3-4 weeks or so...6 - 12 gallons of fuel get burned per use.
Other than an annual tune-up.....
For the best reliability and longevity,
What is the recommended motor care for the month in between trips.
Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

sounds like you get a lot of use so not much down time. i like to start my O/B in a test tank every other month, off season. i also add some sta-bil to my fuel. keep her covered and clean on the inside, raise the bow and pull the plug. you might decarb with some sea foam but sounds like yours is running pretty good already. replace that impeller every couple years.
