How to check if speed is good

Hi all friend

I have 14.4 foot boat with 20hp 2 stroke mariner outboard motor, how i can check the speed if based on 20hp,

Recently i took boat after changing the trigger, for fishing and use my cellphone software for speed and got 11km/hr. is this ok or ahould be more... How i can check

11 km/ph is super slow. For us U.S. peeps that is just under 7mph. I guess if you were going against a 15 mph current your gps could be right. Ha! But if on still water (no current) something ain't right. Does the motor sound like it is running right and reaching top rpm?

Sound look ok, what could i check to see i replaced trigger and stator with new one but thats only for starting, what else i can check and see???

I recently service the water pump and i still see no more than 11 hp on full speed.

What should i check to see why i am not getting more speed on 20hp mariner 2 stroke 2 cylinder outboard motor.

Sould like full RPM but speed is max 11 to 12km/h
