how to clean carb?

do i need to clean my carbs on force 125 o get more speed? and how do i do that? it feels like im getting max rpm but the engin is not going full speed. its like holding back the full speed but the sound is normal. do u think i should clean my carb?

"sounds like" and "feels like" aren't very useful symptoms, armenk.

Tell us what engine and boat you have, what rpm you are getting and how fast you are going.

The possibilities for making a boat sound like it's running okay but feel like it isn't going as fast as it should are too many to list.

well i dont have a rpm guege but the its feels like ure pushing something its holding back but the engin is yelling. its a 1987 bayliner and a 1987 force 125 outboard.
