How to clean out precision blend oil pump?

Just got this 94 250 carb engine. Being a yamaha Noob, when I first started going over the motor, I pulled the float switch/oil strainer out of the onboard oil tank to check it out. Little did I know that I just allowed any sediment to get into the pump and need to replace the seal....yay..... So I am now worried that I will have let some gunk into the oil pump. I dont really feel like blowing up the motor, so.....

1) How can I clean out the pump?
2) How can I clean out the oil lines between the pump and oil nozzles?
3) How can I clean out the nozzles?

I searched and searched, but no answers..

disconnect the lines and use some kind of solvent... maybe carb cleaner through the lines?
when bleeding the system, make sure you are running on a 50:1 mix.
