How to disconnect Linkage for carb removal

I have all the fuel lines off, now to the linkage. How do I disconnect the linkage? :facepalm: I'm a newbie.... 1975 70hp Johnson Electric Choke

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up your mtr. You'll see some very good parts diagrams.
