I been hearing of to many problems and want to run oil in my gas and not have to worry about the oil injection on my 1988 black max 150. What needs to be done?

Thanks

Great!! Found alot of info on blockoff kits. But is there a way i can maybe disable it for now untill i get the kit? Or maybe add a little oil in the gas just incase the oil injection system decides to take a crap? maybe stick a quart or two of oil in my 27gal tank? That way if something happens it may not be as bad as it could be. I just seen alot of people have trouble with them and dont want to be one of them. I know the previous owner never replaced any parts on the oil system and he had the boat 14 years. He said he never had any trouble. I checked the hose that puts the oil into the gas (at the T, the hose going up from the T) and seen a little crack right where the black plastic clip is holding the clear hose on. I would feel safe if I could at least replace that hose. But dont know what size or what kind of clips to use to hold it in place.

Thanks

I am on 1/2 time SeaHawks break, but if you look at Merc Parts Express.Com you can get the part number or order it. Your Merc dealer will have them in stock as they are kind of universal. Otherwise when I am in the shop tomorrow I will try to find the part number from my old package.

great, that would work. I planned on taking the boat out for its 1st test run saturday. Anything i should check, or replace? Think that little clear hose comming off the fuel line T will be ok? I wiggled it and it didnt seem brittle as it did flex. Just seen a small hairline crack at the top where that black plastic clip holds it on. I seen a post here about a guy that had this line break causing his motor to blow/seize. Thats why I checked it. I dont want this to happen.
