how to do touch-up painting

how does one go about doing touch up the finish on a boat? First i need to know how a boat is "colored"...is the color molded in the fiberglass or is it painted after molding...I have some areas that i would like do some touch up on but need advice as to how to do this..Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Bob...It was enough to get me started...i went and Googled Gel coat repair kits and found plenty....Thats all the info i needed...People that post Threads shouldn't expect to be walked through each and every aspect of their question...You have to take whats given and do a little leg work for yourself...if you can't do that, then maybe you shouldn't even attempt the project anyway>>>LOL..!!
