I have a 1996 190 Fourwinns with a 4.3 liter engine. I used fuel stabilizer in the tank when I winterized it last year. My problem is that I have been unable to run it enough this years to empty the fuel tank. I am wanting to winterize the boat once again but don't want to leave the old gas in it for another season. I have tried siphoning out the old gas but have been unable to get a hose into the tank. I have thought about running a hose in through the drainplug hole in the transom and then trying to link it into the tank somewhere and letting gravity do its thing into a container. I have also thought about removing the output from the electric fuel pump and connecting a hose there to a container and then letting the pump do its thing.
Any suggestions on an easy way to do this? Anything would be appreciated.
