How to find the year of my engine?

I have been looking all over the Internet trying to find the year of my engine. its a mercruiser 350; i just need a link to somewhere where i can put in the serial number. If it helps, my serial number is 6152098. I also want to know where i can find the engine manual as well. i know there is a place on Iboats but i dont know where it is.

Ayuh,... In the Adults Only section at the top of this forum....

I think your serial # is missing the Letter it should start with...

What vintage is the hull it's in,..??

its on an 82/83 26' sea ray

there is no letter on the serial number on the engine...

There isn't anywhere that you can put in the SN and find the year. You have a 1982, 260 (I have a dealer program on my computer) or you can use this file. http://www.4shared.com/document/TcRI4n4z/MCM_Model_year_SN_range.html

You will want to look at service manual #3 for your engine.

Service manual #3 is within your engine serial number.
