We have an old viking 35 with damage to the rubrail area. She was lifted by someone who did not take proper care and has cracks and a couple of "dented in" areas where the straps bit into her too much. I have no way of taking pics of the actual damage but it is in solid glass (very little wood in these old Vikings) about a half inch thick directly on the rubrail or seam area. The hull is dented in about an inch or so in the worst place and the damaged area is a foot or just a bit more long by several inches wide.

There is no way to get to the inside on two of the four damaged areas so the repair must be made entirely from the outside.

The rubrail has been pulled loose all the way around at least once so I would like to repair the entire seam - I was thinking a couple of layers of glass cloth all the way around her.

The repair is above waterline so you dont need to do Inside and outside glassing :) ..

Really should get pics up if you can.

A 1" crush is alot.. Kinda hard to imagine that much damage from a sling. But you never know.

Did the Hull/deck joint come back together .. or is it still apart from one another ?

YD.
