I have an EZ Loader trailer. It has the "Reliable" logo clear plastic cap on the hub.
It looks to be leaking from the axle seal, at least I assume so since I dont see any drippings on the front of the wheel.
I notice a white foamy substance on the seal around the axle when I drive the trailer around for a bit.
It's a EZ 12-14 1000# model.
I changed the oil and topped it off with a little extra oil. I have a 225 mile trip tomorrow. ~500 miles round trip. I would love to take my boat with me, but i am a little hesitant at the moment. If it's a slow leak, I can deal with it. Bring my tools and a bottle of oil. But if it starts gushing at highway speeds or such, I'm screwed.
Safe to take the trip?
Also, what parts do I need to fix my trailer? Or should I just have a shop do it? And how much does that run if so or how long? Maybe I can get it fixed in the morning before we go.
Or sure I change the hub to a different brand/model. I find it annoying that my hubs do not have studs to mount my tire/wheel.
