I'm winterizing my 90HP Mercury 4-stroke. Instructions say to spray fogging oil in the carb intakes; problem is that there's an airbox ahead of the carbs, and half of what I spray into it ends up lying on the bottom. Is there a way to get the fogging oil where it's supposed to go?

I tried using a longer spray tube from the can, but it's hard to feed the tube in through the airbox and hit the intakes, and by the time I get to the second one the first cylinder has burned up the oil.

I've even thought about drilling and tapping 4 holes in the airbox in line with the 4 carb intakes, but don't want to mess things up.

Any suggestions?

BTW, hope I don't get shot for posting in two forums...... :)

Welcome to iboats.
While you won't get shot for cross posting, it's not a good idea to post the same thing in different forums. Since you already have it in the proper repair forum, this one is now closed.
