How to get bow up?

Hi all... I have a bow heavy boat and my bow seams to be too low when planing. How to get it up? Would it help to put some extra weight at the back?

You motor most likely has power trim. Are you using it?<br /><br />Bring your trim up some if you aren't that will help. However, if you have a lot of weight in tht front the trim may not be able to counter act it and you will just end up ventilating.

Find out why the bow is down! What is the Boat style? What is the Material( aluminium of Fiberglass)? What is the motor? Do you have tilt trim? If not, what is the manual trim set at?<br />Do you have any planing devices on the boat or motor(ie: hydrofoils or trim tabs)?<br /><br />making permanent weight changes may only mask the problems.
