I have 1974 15 ft fiberglass boat with a 50 horse Johnson. I was wondering the best way to lubricate the throttle/gear shift cables?....boat has been stitting and is hard to move lever....thanks!

Sometimes you can remove the brass set screw that holds the cable ends. You can pull out the core and lube it up. However, most of the time control cables fail due to the outer steel shell rusting away and binding the inner core wire. I recommend you inspect the outer casing.
