How To Hook Up Control Cables

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to setup throttle and shift controls for my motor? I have a '59 Sportwin 10hp model 10018. I know I can get the controls and cables on eBay but have no idea exactly how to go about setting them up. I've tried to research it, but really haven't found the exact how to's. The engine appears to already be setup with the attachments for connecting the cables to the engine. Any help would be so much appreciated. Thanks to all.

What's to set up? The cables go in the locks on the motor, then clip to the throttle/gearshift.
