Re: How to hook up warning buzzer

typically, the buzzer has a positive line (from I on key) and a negative side. the negative side is typically connected to a tan/blue wire that, on the older units, goes to your sensors.

How it works is the sensor are "open" when all is good. when the sensor is activated because something is bad (i.e. overheat) it then connects the horn to the ground, and allows the horn to go.

Shawnoe -- you just jumped on someone elses thread. Not very courteous. Start a new one. We can't keep things straight when people jump in the middle of someone elses thread.

The VRO warnings and the over temp warning are two entirely different systems. You need the factory wiring diagram for the motor (in most service manuals) to sort this out. If you are just replacing the buzzer in the control box, remove it and replace it with a new buzzer. There is an electronic module in this system as well as signals from the VRO pump that feed this system. You really need a manual to do this right.
