How to ID a L-drive crank vs outboard

I recently purchased a crank to use for the rebuild of my 1990 120hp L-Drive. How do I determine that this crank truly was built for the L-Drive motor and not the standard outboard? Anyone know the stroke of each?

Also, can anyone advise if aftermarket cranks were ever available for Force motors? I mic'd the new crank journals and made sure everything checked out vs. the old crank, but the new one just appears different to me. Probably cause its new..... But, was there ever a company that made cranks for Force motors?

I haven't heard of any aftermarket cranks for the Force.

If I rememeber correctly, the difference in the o/b and L-drive cranks is something in the spline count/depth/diameter

Dan at Outboard Crankshafts in Lynnwood WA can reman an L-drive crank and could better answer your crank questions. His # 425-744-0626
