How to identify an old Mariner Outboard

How do I identify an old 140 Hp. Mariner outboard. Need serial numbers so I can order parts. But cannot find it on the motor anywhere.

If you're missing the serial sign on the clamp or swivel bracket, the serial should be on the powerhead too, port side close to the "head", between #3 and #4 ?? .

What part do you need ?? this old Mariner are 99.8% Mercury ( the 0.2% parts are the color, tophat ( cowl ) and wrap + decals ), some part were the same tru the whole live cycle of this engine ( 1970 > 1988 ).
