how to install a trim gauge

I have a 88 Mercruiser Alpha 1 with a 3.7 Engine. It does not have a trim gauge or sending unit. Is there a kit available for this and how hard is this task?

The senders and wiring is already there on every engine. All you need is the gauge, the instructiions tell you what wires to look for under the dash.

If you hook up the guage and it doesnt work dont be surprised the wires to the sender may be broken out at the outdrive. If that is the case then you need to get a sender kit and replace it. Dont just snip the wires and connect them at the outdrive. Do it by the instructions.
