1968 Johnson 60hp. I trailer w/ a transom saver. I can't seem to find any way to hook straps to the thing to prevent it from falling to the side during transit. The old merc were kind of nice to have the rear handles on them.

Anybody have any ideas?

...by the above do you mean the engine turns either to port or starboard ??

If so, why not just bungiecord the helm in the position you want ??

FWIW....Ed in 'ol Virginny

For my Johnson 115, I put the saver on, then flopped it over to one side and bungee'd it there.

It really seems to contort the transom saver when it's off to one side. Guess I'll give it a try and see. Just seems better when its straight.

I had the same issue so I just bungee my steering wheel to the gunwale and voila! No problem!

I use a small ratchet strap around lower unit and trailer frame along with a transom saver.

I hook mine from the steering wheel to the glove box.
