OK so what is the proper way to clean the cooling system? I have heard that you can use a 10% bleach solution, but also HOT water and Vinegar? I want to do it right and kill them off of the outside of boat and inside of engine. I have a 4.3 Carburated V6. If I use the Vinegar do I put some in the hose and flush it?? Or get one of those canisters like to clean after Salt water use and fill it with Vinegar? Thanks guys!

I have heard of cleaning the cooling system with muriatic acid (caveat...cleaning the manifolds and such. not the heads.....dear god, not the heads.)but that would require dissasembly of risers, manifolds, etc.

OK thanks. We have a trip planned for the river (Colorado) in the coming weeks and I was nervous about getting back home and haveing these things alive in my engine and clogging everything up. Seems they need fresh running water to live so what is left in the engine should be OK from what I read??? Does this apply for the Quagga as well?
