How to line up a motor to a outdrive

I have installed a new motor in my boat. It had a 318 mopar s/b to a volvo 270 outdrive. Now its got a 360 mopar s/b with same drive. I used the same monts,on the same sides with no adjustments. My question is how do I make sure that its right? I see in the manual that the volvo 280 and other outdrives have tabs that line up on the bell housing and the mounting collar (transom shield) my 270 dose not. I have a couple bell housings and none have these tabs. So what to do?
