How to lube steering cable?

Guys,
I have power steering and have never greased my steering cables. Can someone tell me how to approach this. I crawled under my dash yesterday and noticed a rubber cap on the end of the "box" that the steering wheel goes into but how one lubricates this is a mystery for me.

Not sure what kind of steering system you have. Rack and pinion? That system has 2 boxes, one for each cable. Usually doesn't need maintenance? I've had teleflex and Detmar systems in the past and neither system and any way for "greasing" the cable. I wish they did. When they have gone bad I've replaced them with new ones.

Ayuh,..... Cables aren't greaseable,.....

If they get tight,....... they get replaced,.....
