How to make photo smaller when posting it here?

I've just posted a reply with a photo, but it came out way too big... How do you make it smaller when posting it here at this forum? Thanks!

In photobucket, just above the picture, you have an edit button. Click on it, then select 'resize'.<br /><br />

Just in case you haven't figured out what the numbers relat to yet...<br /><br />The top pic above is 240 x 320 (pixels w x h)<br /><br />The next one is 120 x 160<br /><br />The bottom one is 60 x 80.<br /><br />A comfortable width for a forum like this is about 400 pixels wide if you want it to expand appx the width of the text that's read.<br /><br />Just remember that you need to change both the width and height...or you'll get a pic that's either squished or stretched. and just to give another option, if you want to host something real fast..<br /><br />www.imageshack.us you select the image, the button below it to auto-resize for you, then hit upload.

<br /><br />Just found out: once reduced the size in photobucket; you can't get it back to the original size! The above resulted when I reduced it twice ("duh...") from the original... (Now, to get my original size back, I have to reload my original photo to Photobucket again...) <br /><br />Text edited 18:07 PST...st.

What I did was upload three copies of the photo and then resize two of them. Always keep a copy of anything important on your harddrive - just in case................

Try this one once installed you just right click any picture and resize accordingly it saves the original and makes a copy of the resized picture you can resize multiple pictures at the same time while saving all originals.<br /><br />Image Resiser, it's a Microsoft Powertool.<br /><br /> http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx <br /><br />Good Luck.
