Here is a helpful tip for mixing fuel accurately. There are probably easier ways but I have found that this way works well.

First buy some of those small bottles that hold 16 oz of 2 cycle oil. For 50:1, that works for 6 gallons. When you put gas in, first put in 6 gallons, then add a bottle. Then add 6 more gallons and add another bottle. Sometimes I guess. For instance, I might add only 3 gallons and put in 1/2 a bottle. I usually only put in multiples of 3 gallons to make measuring easier.

If you want to get crafty, you could take some of the bottles and put marks on them with a permanent magic marker so that you know how much to add for 1 gallon, 1.5 gallons, 4 gallons, etc... Actually, I think some of them are already marked when you buy them.

Save the bottles when you are done. You can fill these up at home from a large bottle and it will be cheaper than buying the individual small bottles. I have a funnel from Walmart that is kind of like a measuring cup. I can add 16oz then I turn the bottle of the funnel and it will let the oil come out. It's a perfect way of measuring the oil.

You could do the same thing by just getting a funnel and measuring it out when you add the fuel, but I find that the bottles are a little less messy because I can put the top back on them, wipe them off, and then put them out of the way under my seat.

Anyway, I am sure this method isn't for everyone but hopefully it might help someone out.
