Hello Guys, on my 1984 Cimmarron bass boat, E90TLCR motor. I have a tilt/trim switch on the bow by the trolling motor. The problem is it only works with the key switch turned on. Is there a way to wire the switch so the key dosent have to be on to tilt the motor? And I was told its not a good idea to leave the switch on while fishing. Kinda a pain to get up from fishing to just lift the motor. Thanks, Rudy.

It shoiuld not be tied into the key.

Do the other trim stations work without the key? They should.

You can tap directly into to tilt/trim wiring at the control box gear/throttle handle. You will need a three position switch, which I'm assuming you already have. If you do not, you need a momentary ON-OFF-ON type.

The tilt/trim wires are:

Blue=UP

Red=Hot (power all the time)

Green=Down.
