How to mount front pedestal seat?

I have a 13' aluminum boat that I just put a 1/2" plywood floor in and I lag bolted the front pedestal seat to the floor and I used it the first time and while sitting in it the bolat come right out. What is some good ways to mount the front pedestal seats? Thanks for all your help!

did you use washers? i would think that really big washers would hold up pretty well.

You may need to add a backer of some sort. Maybe use another piece of wood on the underside of the floor if you are using lag bolts. The lag bolt only has 1/2" of wood to grip to. Another option is to switch to using bolts with washers and a nut.

If you can cut a round access hole you can use one of these! It is mounted under the deck with screws or lags and the pedestal screws into this.

If you don't have access below, use Togglers. They are special toggle bolts with a retainer to hold the wing without the bolt. The steel ones are available at the big-box home improvement stores, but if you need stainless steel you've got to go to a marine supplier- and they're EXPENSIVE!
