Join the 2 wires together.

like dan says on the back are two bolts with the wires on ..you join them together....no if you want to do a better job trace them back and see if you can join them elsewhere and reduce the length of the cables/make a neater job. I would advise you fit a voltmeter instead as this will tell you if you are charging OK ... not running about 12.5v running /charging 14.4v approx

Just don't hook the voltmeter to the same two wires.

Re: how to omit amp gauge

Thanks for the info. Guess I should also have said the wires to the motor are not hooked up as I just changed it to a chev 350 and cut the old non matching harness plugs off. Correct me if I am wrong but I think one went to the starter and the other to the alternator. If so what should i do with the wire s at the motor end.
hope that makes sence
