If it is out of the water, run it at idle for 10 to 15 minutes. Suggest you use the ears that feed both sides of the water inlet. Water on, motor on--motor off, water off. Do not leave the area when the motor is running. If it is in the water and you cant get the ears on, plug into the hose fitting if so equiped and again run the motor. You have to get the motor hot so the water circulates thru the block. FRED
