I have a Zodiac Futura MK3 (Aluminum floor) with a 50hp outboard. We're interested in using this boat to also have some fun with tubes/skiing/wakeboarding. What's the best setup for each of these? What do I need to buy for the boat to make this work? Any good resource to learn about this stuff? Thanks.

There isn't much to pulling tubers or skiers for that matter. You will have two different ropes. one for tubing and one for skiing. Then of course the proper life jackets. Depending on the state you have to have an observer in the boat. some states let you ski or tube with a mirror. As far as the boat, not really anything you have to do to it. Just have a good place to hook the rope to.

Been years since I had a boat to do any towing but most have eyelets on them and if not you will need to add a couple through the rear transom if none exist.I cannot picture where you would hook up without those eyelets added..I am sure someone can show you a pic how to set it up..Should be very easy to do and what you need should be available at the local Hardware store..

I use the transom tie down eyelets, they work good for me.

Tie down eyelets will work just fine for your Zodiac. I have always used two separate ropes- one for skiing, one for towing inflatables. Your 50 HP might have some trouble getting a large load up on plane, so don't try towing anything (or anyone :) - or multiple adults- will likely be too heavy). I used to have a 50HP Bayliner, bought the 2k tow rope for skiing from this website- http://sanddollardeals.com/cats.go?id=Towable -still works great.
And make sure you've got good life jackets.

Except for different ropes - we don't do much different, except to get the skier out of the water immediately. Main thing to keep is mind is when someone falls, or drops of the tube - make sure to have someone watching so you can cut the motor right away. And always have life jackets - even on the tubers - keeps them safer on the surface while you are going back to get them
Just be safe!
